This year I'm spending my birthday with my brother and sister-in-law (I'm turning 21). He just called me and told me that he's taking me to Pure Food & Wine in New York City!!!! I'm soooooo excited!! I don't think I asked him if we could go there but I believe I mentioned the restaurant. We'll hopefully take pictures and I may post them on here or on my Myspace page (my name on there is simply, Francesca). I'm really looking forward to going there. I'm torn on whether to have the raw wine that they serve there. I think I will, as it's my 21st birthday. I never have to drink again but I want to this one night.
I know that the raw vegan diet is not about fancy food but I think everyone should get to experience raw gourmet at least once in their life. I appreciate the artistry of raw gourmet. I used to think it was amazing what chefs could do with non-raw, non-vegan ingredients, but it's truly remarkable what raw chefs can do with a smaller variety of ingredients and without cooking anything.
